Tips for a Professional Finish

The following tips are recommended to give you a great result in labelling your CD/DVD!

Tips for a Professional Finish

  • Make sure that you use a high quality media for recording your data. Problems can occur with data playback, often caused by media that is unreliable or has been incorrectly stored.
  • Ensure that recording has been finalised on the CD/DVD. This is sometimes an extra step in the recording process that gets forgotten and you can end up with a blank CD/DVD!
  • Always try to play back the data through the entire CD/DVD prior to labelling to ensure that the recording process has been finalised.
  • Once you have labelled your CD, store it in a Jewel Case. If you have labelled a DVD, store it in a DVD Case.  Both CDs & DVDs should be stored in a cool, dry environment. Excessive heat or moisture can interfere with the integrity of the data, causing playback problems.
  • Use labels specifically designed for the media that you are recording. CD Stomper CD Safe™labels are recommended for use on CD’s and CD Stomper DVD Safe™ labels are recommended for use on DVD’s. Both labels use special materials and adhesive designed to work under the differing environments in CD & DVD players. See the news page for more information
